Since the 20 th century, musicologists and performers have tried their best to explore the elements of music semantics.Theorists try to trace the music emotion that composers place in their music works, and demonstrate that the music elements in music works are closely related to the historical context and personal emotion of composers when they are creating.Until the 1980 s,tarasti combined with the relevant theories of semantics to form a basic theoretical system of musical semiotics by analyzing the musical semantics,so that later music theorists can further understand the mysteries in music works. This paper consists of five chapters. From the historical clues of music semantics, the basic elements of music semantic analysis, the specific application and conclusion comparison of music semantic analysis method and traditional musicology analysis method, the overall situation of the two analysis methods in three aspects of sound form, music image and inner life modality. The ultimate purpose of this paper is to explore the similarities and differences between the two methods in the analysis of the same three works through the practical analysis of music code semantics in music works and the comparison with the current traditional musicology analysis methods? Whether the analysis of music symbol semantics can be more deeply cut into music works and get more detailed music connotation is the puzzle that the author hopes to solve in the process of writing this paper.
