Sui Tang Yan Yi is the best novel about the story of Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, People like to read it very much since it appeared.But there is no system study about this novel.In this thesis,I will try my best to give it a system study,based on the novel's author,writing,creative idea and cultural implication.I divide this thesis into four parts.The first,the introduction of the research progress on Sui Tang Yan Yi in recent years.The second,the summary of the novel's author and writing.About author's research, because there is little material about the life of the author,by means of the author's other work collection,we can find the rough life of the author.About the writing,I base on the source of the novel's material and the feature of the writing.The third,the creative idea.Because of the influence of the spirit of active social participation,cultural tradition and historiographer,the educational idea is very obvious in the book.The novel was written in Ming and Qing Dynasty,so there was Ming people's "remaining people" idea in the book.The forth,the novel's cultural implication.The novel's cultural implication is mainly shown in feudal ethics,the author's historical view and heroic stature in the novel.
