Researchers at home and abroad are always focus on the subjects of "The Golden Notebook".They make different conclusions from different angle.Through its unique form The Golden Notebook describes a live history of Europe and Afric in the middle of 20th century,and it refers to war,religion,politics,partis,female issues,sexrelationship, fiction and reality,schizophrenia and self-healing,self-rescue of human-being, reconstruct of value and so on.Due to the vast content of the the novel,its subjects display an open tendency.Through the protagonist Anna's abundant experience and gnosis,The Golden Norebook offers readers full dimentional life erlebnis,which inspires people to rethink of life value.The open subjects of The Golden Notebook is the reflection and practition of Doris Lessing's social reponsibility and public concern.Researchers at home and abroad use verious theories to analyze The Golden Notebook's subjects.Though these researches are plenty,it still has room to explor. Based on the previous scholars' researches,this essay tries to start from the novel's cognitional angle,and takes the basic subjects,such as society,politics,female,freedom, and rescue,as the main line,to prove the connotation and significance of the novel's open subjects.Hoping that through this essay we can obtain a more comprehensive and profound understanding and evaluation of Doris Lessing and The Golden Notebook.
