Nadine Gordimer's Feelings Of Intellectuals, From The "natural Variability"

As one of the major works of Nadine Gordimer in her sixties,A Sport of Nature(1987) represented Gordimer's intellectual concern both to her country and people through her oppositional reflection on the problems of South Africa and it's future.Briefly,the intellectual concern is the responsibility an intellectual harbors to her country and society.Motivated by this concern/responsibility,an intellectual always tries to uncover truth and problems thus taken on an oppositional gesture.This dissertation aims to discourse on Nadine Gordimer's intellectual concern represented in A Sport of Nature from three aspects:her solitary oppositional gesture,strong historical responsibility and her public concern to South Africa and the world.To do this,we will look insight into plots such as Hillela's odyssey,Sasha's suffering,Pauline's liberal activities,Whaila and Reuel' s revolution as well as the proclamation of the new Africa state in the end.
