Nadine Gordimer is the South African Jewish women writers writing in English,she won the Nobel prize literature in1990. Nadine Gordimer wrote at the age of Nine.and she wrote the frist novel at the age of tweenty-five. Nadine Gordimer has written lots of novels and got many lories.The thesis tends to interpret Nadine Gordimer’two Works None To Accompany Me,Get a life depending on the course "predicament—survival"in combination with her biography from the perspective of existentialism.This thesis is composed of five chpters.Chapter one mainly introduces Nadine Gordimer’works and summarizes the statement of the current academic study of Nadine Gordimer both in China and the worldwide,and points out that this thesis studies Nadine Gordimer’Works from the perspective of existentialism.Chapter two mainly reveals the crisis of South Africa society from three aspects:polity,economy and racial conflict and social reaity provides the background of the era.Chapter three mainly discusses None To Accompany Me from three aspects:individual spiritual experience of loneliness and anxiety,the conflicting relationship between the individual and others and fighting against threaten of death.From that we can see Nadine Gordime’ understanding of people’spredicament is similar to that of existentialistsChapter four mainly discusses get a life from three aspects:individual spiritual experience of loneliness and anxiety,the conflicting relationship between the individual and others and fighting against threaten of death.Chapter five makes a brief summary on the content which have discussed before and points out the significance of studying Nadine Gordime Works from the existentialism perspective.
