The concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"is one of the key theories of Zhang Yan's poetics. It has been paid attention to since putting forward. In Qing Dynasty, Zhexi School of Ci-Poetry emphasized the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"especially. At the earlier stage, under the leadership of Zhu Yi-zun, they developed Zhang Yan's concepts of"Qingkong"and"Yazheng"into"Chunya". At the later stage, they flaunted"Qingkong"definitely under the leadership of Li E. However, the latish Changzhou School of Ci-Poetry learned more from"Zhishi". In modern times, the Ci-poetics arena paid more attention to the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi". The study of Ci-poetics is very flourishing,it seems that nothing new can be put forward. Yet, after careful research to plentiful material, I find that most people viewed artistic conception, poetic state, words combination, the adoption of literature quotation as the targets when they discussed the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi", which resulted in a lot of repetition. In fact, the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"can be elucidated in some new ways. On the basis of other people's productions, based itself upon the successive relationship between the theory of"Qingkong & Zhishi"and the concept of"Fenggu", this paper used the concept of"Ciwei"as well as the theory of calligraphy, painting, music for reference and brought forth some new ideas, trying to make further analysis and explores. As preparative work, chapterâ… mainly discussed Artistic Conception and Critical Standard of the theory of"Qingkong and Zhishi"."Qingkong and Zhishi"mostly includes three aspects. One is upholding"Qingkong"and fighting"Zhishi". One is upholding"Saoya"as well as"Qingkong". The last one is that"Yiqu"is included in"Qingkong". However, the three aspects are interdependent.Chapter II mainly clarified the successive relationship of"Qingkong"theory and"Fenggu"theory. What Zhang Yan emphasized actually came from Liu Xie's related theory"Fenggu". However, they differed from each other. This chapter aims to analyse the similarities and differences of them as well as the"Fenggu"of Daoist School it had shown and their belief of"Yazheng".Chapter III discussed the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"from the perspective of"Ci wei"."Qing dan wei"is the most important aesthetic feature of Zhang Yan's"Qingkong"theory."Qingkong"and"Zhishi"are two different aesthetic style."Qingkong"theory was influenced by Daoism and Buddhism, while"Zhishi"mainly absorbed the theory of the Confucian school.Chapter IV mainly probed into the academic resource of the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"."Qingkong and Zhishi"theory assimilated pabulum from the theories of calligraphy, painting and music. The theories of calligraphy and painting emphasized the blank, which has an extremely important theoretical implications to"Qingkong and Zhishi"theory. Finally, there are two appendixes. Appendix I dissertated the status and problems of the previous research on"Qingkong and Zhishi"theory, and made a generalization of other people's productions. For the sake of remedying the shortage of this research paper, appendix II revised some reviews about Xin Qiji in Ci-Yuan, and made analysis on Zhang Yan's"Ya Ci"theory. The significance of the concept of"Qingkong and Zhishi"in the history of Chinese Ci-Poetry is of paramount importance. On the basis of previous studies, this paper tried to make some innovation as well as digging into the literature.
