Zhangxin's new urban novels which represented the life of career women caught the comprehensive attention in 1990's.The author believes that Zhangxin's new urban novels are essentially a light literature and similar to urban novels between 1930's and 1940's. The similarities can be summarized as follow:First, they all have vivid and complicated story plot. Second, they all follow a certain paradigm or model and show the characteristic of stereotype. Third, they focus on the professional and emotional lives of urban women and fit the psychological reading of urban residents and suit all tastes. However, Zhangxin's new urban novels show their own unique style. Zhangxin is a kind of wrtier, who preserves in her reflection on desolate grouding of life by showy mirror image. Her new urban novels are smart allegoric writing which traditionally delineates many pictures of the city and urban way life and imply thinking about relationship between human and the city. Her new urban novels also create a mirror-like pattern of characters and love and probe the state of material survival and the spiritual world of city beauty. She rewrote similar tales and their pattern as well as inter-wrote the product beyond literature, such as movie literature and production. They disclosed Zhangxin's holding on the reality in addtion to realization on the nature of commercial urban culture procreation. In this paper, feminist perspective and the mirror theory in visual culture are combined to analyze Zhangxin's new urban novels and reveal the characteristic of allegoric writing on three aspects. The first chapter, mainly discusses Zhangxin's female imagination and creation of urban . The city was regarded as a mysterious female symbol can be felt and touched. The second chapter, primarily probes into her allegoric writing nature by choosing love stories as their characteristic, that is ,showing the implied meaning on construction and deconstruction of identity of the working women who live in the urban .The third chapter, chiefly research Zhangxin's limited attempt that break down rigid writing mold by means of"rewriting". Otherwise ,she walks further in her familiar mold.
