It is the highest achievements of works on the ancient Chinese literary theory for Wen Xin Diao Long (or The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons).As the quoted from Wen Shi ?Tong Yi ?Shi Hua by Zhang Xuecheng in Qing Dynasty,"It is tremendous in respect of system and considerate in aspect of thought."It has been more than a thousand years for the study of Wen Xin Diao Long, especially after twentieth century, stepping into a stage of unprecedented breadth and depth. Except for the prominent research result, it is necessary to be detailed further in-depth for the current study, which requires the particular reframe and demonstration of the review from the individual writers. This paper selects the commentaries on the eight authors in Wei Jin period, such as Wang Can, written by Liu Xie from Wen Xin Diao Long ? Quan Fu, reorganizes and explains them, in order to understand more accurately the comments on the writers and their works by Liu Xie, to achieve"commanding theoretically"and to grasp the theoretical value of Wen Xin Diao Long comprehensively and deeply. The thesis is divided into seven chapters: The first chapter states the present situation and existing problems. More over, it summaries the research of Wen Xin Diao Long ? Quan Fu, to provide necessary preparation for the further exploration of writers and works on Wen Xin Diao Long. From Chapter Two to Chapter Seven, it illustrates and verifies the reviews of the eight authors from Chapter Quan Fu, such as Wang Can, Xu Gan, Zuo Si, Pan Yue, Lu Ji, Cheng Gong Sui, Guo Pu and Yuan Hong. The last Chapter is the conclusion of this dissertation, it will conclude the study of each chapter.
