Panshaniana is a piece of work compiled in accordance with the records of teaching and answers of WangZhijin, who is the founder of Pan Shan Party which belongs to Chuan-Chen Tao. It is famous for its lively language and flexible thoughts. Especially, the mind's moral cultivation theory that involved in it is a kind of extraordinary treasure in moral cultivation theory of China Taoism.The introduction of the mind's moral cultivation theory in Panshaniana aims to concern individual's physical and mental healthy and the ultimate care of human life. It can keep identical with the individual's moral pursuit and concrete manners and conducts. The moral cultivation based on Quietness Idea of traditional Taoist mixes with the mind's theory of Zen Buddhism, so it shows the compatible feature of Taoism and Buddhism. Its standpoint is the idea that " Tao follows what is natural." and it is a mixture of mind, nature and Tao. In another word, Cultivating mind is practicing nature and is also consisting with Tao. It underlies "Tao", which is the origin of universe, and WangZhijin promotes the pursuit of the truest and the best nature to a harmonious state, which means that "The harmonious oneness of the universe". We can understand the necessity of moral cultivation theory through the pursuit of "truth, virtue and harmony". He then puts forward a series of moral cultivation methods, such as "Vanishing evil thoughts and preserving good ones", "Self-examination" /'Cultivating one's mind in the real world" and it combines the internal practice with the external action to achieve the perfect harmony between the nature and human beings.Moral cultivation theory in Panshaniana makes the metaphysical "Tao" carry out practical aspects to solve some real-life problems. It can help us to cultivate our moral characters, to sublimate the moral state and to maintain social harmony.
