"Moderinity" has an important significance to Chinese modern literature studies. Take "moderinity" as a point of view, it is necessary to study the revolution of the poetry movement. The paper contains several meanings when using the "modernity",as follows: modern is relative to tradtion, the modernity shows the difference or antagonism with the tradition in the first; Chinese modernity is to be with west modernity consult; the modernity is a dynamic history concept, showing a sustained course of history. In the opinion ,after the war between China and Japan ,It showed the distinct modernity characteristic on Chinese society and literature.The times when from the late Qing Dynasty to 'May 4th' was an unstable times,so the poetry development had the brand which asked to the times inevitablely.Liang Qichao' s theory about "poetic revolution" and Huang zunxian' s poem practice showed the modernity which was in the initial stage of modernity society representatively. The poem modernity contained : the concept of asking to Europe; the concept arosal of the modern world and the idea that they went after the modernization of language. For instance, the paper holds that Huang Zunxian' s poetic of writing poems beyong Chinese world expressed awakening of sense of world. Under the modernity contents,the influence is reflected in the following parts: first,on the revolutionary consciousness of Chinese trational poems; second , the class idea that the outstanding person realised; lastly, the trendence from classic to popular. Additionally, the importance of "May 4th" poetic movement was: it had advocated literature and overturned contering on writings in classical Chinese tradition culture completely literature order.
