Su Shi, a celebrated writer, thinker and politician in China's history, has made great achievement in the history of literature, thought, and politics with his brilliant talent. Having begun to learn Confucianism from his childhood, he established the thought of administrating a country with the focus of Confucianism, and inherited'people-oriented' theory and aimed to serve people soul and heart as a competent and clear politician. He consistently stuck to the philosophy that he applied a policy of benevolence and love for people in his whole life. His mission is to love people, attach ed much importance to people and protect people. He administrated the government affairs with the purpose of make benefits for people. He analyzed the social situation in Northern Song dynasty overall and put forward a series of view on reforming old system, which is good both for the country and people in order to establish a harmonious society where the emperor and his subjects, and people have a good relationship. However, the implementation of his thought was not smooth.Because of different philosophy of administrating a country, he maintained that officials would take measure situated to the time and precede step by step, which caused a serious divergence with Wang Anshi 's new deal that he over emphasized stric andimpartial oeders. SuShi's pjilosophy has been against Wang Anshi's for a long time. At length, Su Shi ended up with broken political ideal and life-long frustrations because of his involvement in opposing reform. Even it was so, He never gave up his thought of administrating a country. From the beginning to the end of his tenure, he combined his own political practice with art practice. In both his administration action and his literature, he continuously attached great importance to people. He left great precious literature for later generations, and also provided adequate historical data for our overall understanding of his personal charm, which make his image more vivid and lively, and his personal charm more move later generations forever.
