The Inscription on bronze objects of Qi Department of the Warring States period is an important component part on the development history of configuration on Chinese Characters. Description and analysis to configuration of these inscriptions not only provides reliable dating material for the development history of configuration of Chinese characters, but also contributes to study the history of Chinese characters. Meanwhile, we will be able to gain the development situation of characters of the Warring States, and get the geographical characteristics of the inscription on bronze objects of Qi Department.In this paper, on the basis of the《Dictionary of Ancient Chinese Characters of Warring States》and with reference to the《Characters Edition of Warring States》, these Characters of inscription on of Bronze Objects of Qi Department was exhaustively collected ,the Font Table of Inscription was accom -plished according to the pr -inciple of the recognition for identity and the distinction for other differences. Then, the "main shape" of Characters with different writing and Characters with different configuration were regularly splited, and the basic configuration elements were generalized and made into the basic configuration component Table. Statistic results show that: in inscription on Bronze Objects of Qi Department of the Warring States Period 218 basic configuration components, based mainly on level structure and taking flat structure as subsidiary structure, constitute of 356 characters by 10 configuration modes, in which the synthesis of sound and meaning account for 52.60%; inscription characters on Bronze Objects of Qi Department of the Warring States Period show a certain systemic. Finally, the characteristics of the original characters of Qi Department and the comparison with the other four departments show that inscription characters of Qi Department, influenced by Chu Department and Jin Department form a unique characteristics system of the East, it has some the development of the style, after inheriting the solemn and elegant style of the Western Zhou Dynasty; Its shape is fresh,dainty and more longer in comparison with the inscriptions of Western Zhou Dynasty and Spring and Autumn Period . Furthermore, the solemn and elegant style of Qi Department is related to its carrier- Bronze Objects.
