Explore The Composition And Shape Characteristics Of Shandong Folk Paper-cut

Chinese folk paper-cutting mainly originated from Shandong, which is a dynamic creative artistic form. It is geographically distinctive, simple and natural in shape with a long history which is also one part of intangible Cultural Heritage in the world. However, as the time goes by, especially under the influence of commodity-based economy, Shandong folk paper-cutting art is declining. So, it's imperative for arts teacher to study,excavate, collect and preserve this form of art. We would try to do research about the uniqueness of this art to protect it. We should still do detailed research about its shape and construct so as to help people to enjoy the beauty of Shandong paper-cutting both in form and content.This thesis is divided into three parts, which starts from the historical origin of Shandong paper-cutting and then analyzes its characteristics of constitute.In the first chapter is about the feature and geographic features of Shandong folk paper-cutting. Shandong paper-cutting of diffrent area are not the same as theme . and paper -cutting are influenced on constitutional and modeling features.In the second chapter, the author lays special emphasis on the analysis of Shandong paper-cutting's characters of shape modeling. Of them, four are most striking: first, Shandong paper cutting is based on image modeling, which stresses on the outside lines and inside decorations; second, Shandong paper-cutting combines style with individuality in modeling characters; third, while modeling, Shandong paper cutting employs ways of simplicity, exaggeration, adding and regularity; Fourth, Shandong paper-cutting is rich in content.In the third chapter, the author mainly analyses constitutional features of Shandong paper cutting's shape. Then the author further analyses constitutional features of Shandong paper cutting in Three Dimensional Space. At last, the author studies subjective expressions of Shandong paper cutting in depicting different subjects with the similar structure.The author analyses and studies artistic features of Shandong paper-cutting from the technical perspective while combining the analysis of materials together with investigations among the people. The author aims at making her view explicit and thorough. Still, she hopes to root her research deeply in the soil of artistic teaching and to carry forward this form of art practically and theoretically so as to improve youth's artistic awareness by enjoying this practical, interesting and easy to practice national artistic form.
