Ecological Environment And The Relationship Between Zhengzhou Shang Probe

Based on archaeological materials and relevant literatures and absorbing research results of predecessors and relevant subjects, the thesis probe systematically the relationship between ecological environment and Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou. The full text is divided into six parts, which including foreword, ecological environment and the selection and foundation of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, ecological environment and the plan and construction of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, ecological environment and the economic development of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, ecological environment and the decline of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, and enlightenment from the rise and decline of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou. The first part discourses briefly about the influence of ecological environment to ancient capital, reviews sketchily on research results of predecessors, and explains the necessary to further discuss the relationship between ecological environment and Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou. The second part testifies that Shang Dynasty set up its capital in Zhengzhou having direct relationship with the advantageous ecological environment of ancient Zhengzhou territory, by analysis of war situation of crusading against the King Jie then, the need of strengthening the Shang Dynasty's controlling position, and resuming and developing economy. The third part testifies the ecological environment having profound affect to the plan, distribution and construction of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, by way of discussion on Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou paying close attention to complying with surroundings and natural conditions and thinking highly of using regional environmental conditions and having certain consciousness on protecting environment of inhabited region. The forth part analyzes emphatically on the relationship between the development of agriculture, handicraft industry and commerce and ecological environment, points out that it just the advantageous ecological environment of ancient Zhengzhou territory provided the essential conditions to the economic development of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou, and established economic basis for it to be the biggest capital in scale in earlier stage of Shang Dynasty. The fifth part supposes and analyzes the reason of discarding Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou from the point of view of ecological environment, combining with archaeological materials and relevant literatures. It considers that the reason of decline, change and discarding of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou is due to the ecological disturbance caused by overmuch economic activity, overreclaim on land caused by population's increase by a big margin, shortage of handicraft industry caused by limitation and change of ecological environment. The sixth part draws the following three enlightenments from the above discussion and analysis to the rise and decline of Shang Dynasty Capital in Zhengzhou. i. Build the harmonious between human and nature is the key of keeping economic continuable development. ii. Keep the environment never being declined is root of civilization and progress. iii. Promote strongly the construction of ecological civilization is the necessary requirement to realize the goal of ideal society.
