Everyone like put their eyes on art market today. but rare people care about young artists how to survive and start-ups .IAs an art school graduating students, I determined to engage in artistic creation. How to continue artistic pursuit after my graduation? For the green young artists wishing to engage their art career like me, what kinds of difficulties and challenges they will face? I have a lot of questions. Accordingly, I start investigate artists in Shanghai,Beijing,Sichuan and other places, interviewed 26 young artists who born after 1975,through interview face to face, questionnaires and interview online hope to know the existence of young artists. These artists are including painters, sculptors, installation artists, video artists, rock singer. All 26 artists, 21 is just graduated from art school and began an independent artistic career; 5 has been signed in artist gallery. 18 In Shanghai, 2 in Beijing, 2 in Sichuan, 2 in Tianjin, 1 in Inner Mongolia, 1 in Xinjiang. In 5 signed in artist gallery, 3 artists in Shanghai and 1 in Beijing and 1 in Sichuan. 19 are engaged in painting, 4 in sculpture and installations and 1 in video art, 1 choose multi-media art, 1 engaged in music. From interview I know these budding young artists are facing several problems in general——1. Income instability, economic pressure. 2. Rest irregular, creation time reduced. 3. Hard to balance the money and artistic creativity. 4. Move frequently. 5. Interpersonal relationships. In addition, the existence for female artists are more harder. They have to face family, marriage and fertility problems, except all kinds of pressure like male artists. It is very important to deal and balance between works and their physical disadvantages for the female artists.Young artists must find their position if want to survive and develop. The art like any other vocation, have to be worked hard. Fantasy, interest, can not make young artists become a famous artist overnight. Success is relying more on strength, creativity and experimental attitude not on a coincidence and a sudden inspiration. To become a professional artist, you must clearly position your works of art and artistic style; and each artist must also make a reasonable for the valuation of their works and preparations to enter the market. Too high and low price is not good for their development. The art market in 2008 after the outbreak of the financial crisis is increasingly deflate, galleries tighten their belts, many green artists suffer from a lack of money to continue to their creation, and the completed works can not sold. Many arts institutions began to reflect how to self-help China contemporary art industry, trying to find a positive cooperation for both young artists and institutions. So some high-quality low-priced art works got the market's high praise, successful sales bring some encouragement and financial help make the young artists can continue to work. In addition, some artists choose to continue study, from learning process to build their own artistic influence and networks, and ground to entry into the galleries and art institutions.Chinese Arts Sponsorship mechanism have no basic prototype, Currently, in contemporary art field, are still very short of non-profit agencies and organizations, and almost no foundation ?to support young artists works before their signed gallery and art museum. But the young artists still can try to find some the Art Fund which their eligible to apply for. It is can help artists concentrate on work and avoid worry about financing troubles, and can help to build a nice resume for ourselves for the art career development. It is a professional artist of rare very successful, apart from a little luck, they must have persistent pursuit of art, tough faith and fight down to earth. Hope that through this paper the analysis of young artists'difficulties when set foot on the road and some tackle way, can help young artists who just engage in the arts.
