Family Socioeconomic Status builds the material living environment in the process of the individual’s long-term growth. It affects the material resources and social opportunity that the individual can choose, and impacts the cognitive habits of the individual. Economic pressures can make the individual generate great mental tensions in a short period of time, occupies individual limited cognitive resources, reduces individual cognitive resources for normal activities, and eventually make the individual’s cognition into a difficult position. The purpose of the research is to hope that through the empirical research to confirm that the Family Socioeconomic Status, economic pressures can impact college students’ cognitive inhibitory control. We want to analysis on the influencing mechanism, hope to be able to provide some reasonable suggestions for the education and management of poverty students.Firstly, the research used scale of the Family Socioeconomic Status to select different college students into two different groups. Secondly, the students completed the stroop task and the Stop signal task. We found out the influence of the Family Socioeconomic Status and economic pressures for inhibitory control ability for college students and the following main conclusions.(1) The economic pressure leads individual inhibitory control ability to reduce. The evidence following: the college students took more time to complete the stroop no-consistent task and the Stop signal task when they stayed in economic pressure situation. It means that students’ ability of inhibitory control had reduced in the circumstance of economic pressure.(2) The college students have obvious difference of control abilities between the high and low Family Socioeconomic Status. The evidence following:there were obvious different reaction time in the stroop no-consistent task and the Stop signal task between the high and low Family Socioeconomic Status students. It means that the college students have obvious different control abilities.(3) When college students stay in the economic pressure situation, the higher Family Socioeconomic Status they have, the more advantages they obtain. The evidence following: when college students stayed in the economic pressure situation, the high Family Socioeconomic Status group took less time than the low Family Socioeconomic Status group in the program of completing the stroop no-consistent task and the Stop signal task. The result means that the high socFamily Socioeconomic Status group students obtain stronger ability to control themselves than the low Family Socioeconomic Status group students when they face the economic pressure.
