New Century Normal Students Sing Ability

The graduates who major in music education mainly engain in basic music education work, this requires them to have ability of music teaching. Wth the reform and devcelopment of our country's basic music education, the important role of application courses in music high education is increasing; among which self-playing and self-singing has been one of common practical abilities. However the importance of self-playing and self-singing is ignored by some students and teachers. It leads to not satifactory education results. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and study, so that to improve this fact. This paper states the concept of self-playing and self-singing and significance of training such kinds of ability based on great references and research in university and combined the experience of author's study. Then attention to needs of taining music comprehensive abilities of all kinds, i.e. while the students have abilitily of playing and accompanying on the piano and vocal music singing, they should have abilities of baisc theories application. Finally, this paper proposes some suggestions for training ability of self-playing and self-singing.first, the university, students and teachers should pay more attention such ability training; second, according to related courses, besides the vocal music, piano, accompanyment and harmony etc. bais courses, trainging ability of self-playing and self-singing in above courses should be strenthened, and combined with other courses such as music theories;last, discuss the teaching and studing methods in order to improve the students ability of self-playing and self-singing.It is hoped that this paper would make more people concern such ability training and promote the reform of music education in university and send qualified music teachers for basic music education.
