This period, surnames and clan names'two-tier system were based on the rule of law and Packet-based system ,and it is the reflection of Western Zhou political system of the patriarchal culture in society.In the late Spring and Autumn period, "patriarchal", "feudal" system are beginning disintegration . New social patterns and social structure is taking shape, Almost all of the social system changed profoundly in this period, Name system can not be the same as the former,and also changed greatly. Western Zhou Dynasty's two-tier system gradually developing one in this period, to the Warring States period, the amalgamation of surnames and clan names as a system was gradually been established.two-tier system of surnames and clan names as the important social system that take a series of changes in the Spring and Autumn Period, the amalgamation of surnames and clan names completed at the end of the warring states. The reasons are manifold, which were the rule of law, enfeoffment system, the well field system,the World-Qing Shi-Lu system, private ownership and the development of commodity economy and the family shape and size, and the name system itself are closely related. Undermine of the patriarchal system is the fundamental premise ,the prevalence of small individuals is the objective need unity; private ownership and the development of commodity economy is a catalyst for the formation; Bureaucracy and reform the system of prefectures and counties ' establishment was an important factor.It is an important turning point in the Chinese surname history that the surname and clan names was unified, its special cultural meaning and political meaning was great. New system was established in the Warring States, it was prevail inQin and Han, and continue to use it till now, it has not changed greatly as a system,its influence is far-reaching. this is unquestionable. New system which we use now are basically the same in the Warring States, it is the inheriting of the system at that time. amalgamation of surnames and clan names in the middle and later periods of the Warring States as a new system, it had a far-reaching influence to Qin and Han, it influenced the unification of the motherland, social power structure and social conduct.
