Jiaxiang "in Southwest Wind Music" Social Classes, Inheritance And Evolution

The wind and percussion ensemble in Jiaxiang area of Shandong province is China's old forms of folk instrumental ensemble. For the study of this traditional music, we will not only pay attention to its musical identity, but aslo the research of the musicians that is important. Musicians are carrier of this music, without musicians, this music will lose its basis for survival. The wind and percussion ensemble in Jiaxiang area of Shandong province has its cultural and ecological environment (including the customs, culture, and humanities)and the audience for survive. As a carrier of the musicians are also essential.In the existing data that can be examined, the older generation of musicians on the record is limited and current folk musicians are very few people known. Although the study about the wind and percussion ensemble in southwest of Shandong province does not include the entire southwest region, Jiaxiang is the most widely spread areas of this music. Through personal contacts with local musicians, not only I can understand the main local schools, the art features of musicians and the music heritage approaches, but also make me go into the lives of musicians deeply and experience the hardships of living musicians. However, they are in the role of the local people's lives are important. The band of wind and percussion ensemble (most bands are not known to advocate, but called "suona team")plays concert band in many occasions such as holiday celebrations, opening ceremony, joining the army , careers, plaque presented, marriage and funeral, etc. The band often performances in the Arts Festival of farmers in the provinces and city, folk art show, the International Confucius Cultural Festival and other major cultural events. We can learn more microscopic understanding and its details through the combination of music and people.This paper first investigates and studies folk musicains of the wind and percussion ensemble in Jiaxiang area of Shandong province. In the following part, this paper focuses on cultural background, their schools , the music heritage approaches, the use of music forum and also on the living conditions of musicians . In the end, this paper calls for the related authorities to enhance the protection of musicians and improve their living conditions so that traditional music groups can healthily develop and flourish.Available information in the old musicians have passed away, the study about the local musicians and their heritage, which has some practical significance to grasp the status of folk musicians and study of related topics more deeply.
