In many of the piano works of Chopin, there is a genre of works has the ethnic origin of the linkages ,that is from Poland's national dance evolved Mazurka Dance. This genre works are the creation of Chopin's richest national character and national temperament works. Chopin's national spirit and patriotic spirit are most vividly demonstrated.From the available information, other countries do more in-depth research than China. But the critics just make analysis of mazurka, not a few specific works.Mazurka has the special status of the field of piano performance, this article attempts from a few Chopin mazurkas, explains the distinct features of national character and rhythm ,and gives the classification and performance notes and other aspects to make progress of studying of the performance characteristics of Mazurka. Attract valuable comments, so that the readers can increase the capacity that how to understand and play Chopin's Mazurka.The basic research methods of this paper is: Collection of information in English and a large spectrum of music scores, ask for advice to domestic and foreign performers, study all the materials, conclusions and summarize them, and focus on a few of the more important Mazurkas. Because the domestic research for mazurkas is not very in-depth, scarcity of Chinese files, so it requires a large number of foreign language translation and information collection. Not only to raise the level of individual English but also to raise the level of studying music scores. And to grasp the necessary knowledge of musical form, harmony. My instructors and I communicate with Polish, we get some valuable information to achieve the desired objectives of this paper.This paper describes the national, Rhythm and performance characteristics of Mazurkas, Shows that Chopin mazurkas fully integrated into the Polish folk music.
