Karol Szymanowski is a famous Polish composer in 20th century. He played a decisive role to the development of polish music, and his contribution to polish music in no way inferior to Chopin. However, due to the specific historical circumstances, his musical work is not only emphasized by the people, but also not widely spread. His work inherited the national tradition of Polish, followed the spirit of Chopin., and a new exploration of folk music, use the modern method of expression and his Aesthetic concept with no compromise, all of above reflect the value of his works. It also deeply affected the next generation of Polish composers. This article analyzes the Szymanowski's two mazurkas in op.62 written in 1933---1934. Although this two mazurka are short, its concise form, sophisticated performance technology, innovative musical language and rich emotional integration, that is to say, this two mazurka have high article value. At the same time, we can see that when Szymanowski enter the old age, he cherish the folk music, fully express his pariotic feelings.This paper can be divided into four main parts. Firstly, introduce Szymanowski and his music career. This part contain the three stages of music creation:early period,the first turning point in his music career, the second turning point in his music career. This three section represent respectively Szymanowski's tendency of different music styles, which contain late romanticism, impressionism, and nationalism, also other parts of section involves the many factors and musicians that affect music creation of Szymanowski.Secondly, the impact of highland music in Tatra Mountains on Szymanowski's music career. This section's discussion from three aspects, firstly, describe the mountain's location, then,describe the local arts center Podhale, finally, list of three chatacters who make contribution to the development of local folk music. Thirdly, mainly describe the historical development of mazurka, analyze the characters of mazurka combined with composers such as Chopin. Fouthly, this section analysis Szymanowski's two mazurkas in op.62 comprehensively, which contains its background, music form, rhythm, harmony, tonality, melody, performance and aesthetics, try to fully concluded the character and style of Szymanowski's mazurka.The dissertation is aimed at making the public know more about Szymanowski and his music, especially these two mazurka in op.62, it bring us unique idiom and the strong national emotion of Szymanowski, we should feel them gradually.
