Centering around Chung-Yung,this paper implores the thingking origin of the mean and the writer of the text of Chung-Yung ,putting forward the idea that the heavenly destiny associates human-beings'principles to instruct Chung-Yung'thinking system and concerns the ontological meaning of the destiny. From studing the development of the idea of heavenly destiny in history and"heavenly destiny called nature",we deduce the destiny's ontology meaning. On the thesis of whether the mean is common or uncommon,we think it could be answered easily if we realized the inner relation between the spontaneousness of the heavenly destiny and the conciouness of human-beings'principles.The mean belongs to the prosess of conciouness of humanbeings'principles which cause the mean'character of uncommon, but this prosess is based upon the spontaneousness of day-to-day behavours.Watching over himself when he is alone is the initiative way for profound person to reture and disclose the truth other than to control over onself when he is not seen by others. Chung-Yung'political thoughts are routed in the foundation of the conciouness of human-beings'principles and reflect the truth's spreading promoted by profoud person. The idea of centrahty and harmony reflects the prosess of the spontaneousness of the nature. Centrahty without projection is the condition that nature containing truth prepare to reveal itself.Harmony means the state that things including humen-beings reveal there nature spontaneously. The naturaly produing which can be said"from sincerity to manifestation"and the persuing and adhering from human-beings which can be said"from manifestation to sincerity are two strong points supporting Chung-Yung's outlook which unit nature and humen-beings.In the last section,we discussed Chung-Yung's influnce on confucian school of Song and Ming Dyasty's and Chung-Yung'historical position in eastern philosophy.
