Highlight The Theme Of The Sorrow Of Life

Qin Guan is a very outstanding poet of Northern Song Dynasty, being one of the representatives of the school of subtle and concise lyrics. He wrote lyrics with feelings, and expressed his mind with lyrics, giving voice to the thought of "sad people in ancient times". As one of his representative work, Huaihai Lyric is always saturated with the tears of a broken heart and full of poignant anxiety and hate, showing a plaintive and moving artistic beauty. Based on the analysis of Huaihai Lyric, this paper reveals the formation of its plangent and touching ambit. The whole thesis is divided into four parts. The first part demonstrates the love and hate of Huaihai Lyric from three aspects:grief of love, hate of exile and his own life. The second part describes the artistic construction of the plangent and touching ambit from the skillful combination of affection and scene, the technique of elaborating meanings deeply step by step, the interlaced chapter structure in time and space. The third part analyzes the factors influencing the formation of Huaihai Lyric from the perspective of his failings in examinations, the harm of party struggles, his sentimental personality, his family and marital lives, as well as his habitual and aesthetic orientation. According to the comparison with Yan Jidao, another "sad people in ancient times" and Li Qingzhao, another representative of the school of subtle and concise lyrics, the fourth part concludes with the description of different way of expressing pain and distress of the three poets.
