Collapse Of The Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (1897-1921)

General Jewish Labor Bund in Lithuania, Poland and Russia (Bund) is the first Jewish proletarian party in Russian revolution. It left not only a permanent impression in the history of Jewish Liberation, but in the history of Russian Revolution and the International Communism. the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP, founded in 1987) is one of the most important Russian revolutionary party, and takes crucial affections to the process of the Russian Revolution. Bund devoted itself to the campaign of RSDLP and Russian Revolution. For a long time, we are all familiar with the name of RSDLP, but know little about the history of Bund. For this reason, I plan to examine all Bund's history and the relation between Bund and RSDLP, under the title of "Bund and RSDLP,1897-1921".The thesis consists of seven parts.The first part introduces the foundation of Bund. On the guide of Marxist, Russian Jewish proletarian and the intellects went together. And later, mass movement began too. More and more worker and intellect joined in it. This became the-necessary condition of the foundation of Bund.The second part is about Bund and the formation of the RSDLP. Thanks to the hard working of Bund and other Social Democratic groups, the first RSDLP congress was held successfully. Although, the organization of this party was badly destroyed later, the Bund never stop trying to rebuild it. On the second RSDLP congress, Bund got out of RSDLP for the serious conflict on the organizational principles. And the RSDLP also divided into two parts, one part is Bolshevik, and the other is Menshevik.The third part talks about the Bund and the RSDLP in 1905 Revolution. Bund was developing after getting out of the RSDLP. It wanted to cooperated with other social democratic groups during this time. And 1905 Revolution gave it hope and chance. In 1906, Bund went back to RSDLP on the Forth RSDLP congress.The forth part discusses the Bund and the RSDLP between 1907-1914.In these years, the Bund had to face the serious crises of organization. It got involved in inside conflict of RSDLP. But Bund saved its main strength under the cover of cultural movement. This offers it a good opportunity to rebuild itself.The fifth part is about the relationship of Bund and the RSDLP between 1914-1917. In these years, the RSDLP and Bund forced on their national problems. After the October Revolution, Bund divided into two parts, one part support the Bolshevik, and the other left Russia. Summary: Russian Bund's history connected with RSDLP. Although they had different ideas, but Bund was still a Marxist party. It left an indelible mark in the history of Jewish Liberation and Russian Revolution.
