Although academics from various perspectives Xiaoqing and detective novels for many years of research, but from psychological point of view of Xiaoqing detective fiction is a weak link in the blank cells. The study of this essay aims to deeply dig the author's emotion accumulation, writing motivation, personality psychology and characteristic of psychology, trying to begin it from the creator——the author. The study will show the inner vein and direction of the author's writing.Cheng Xiaoqing, who was living in a period of change of the society was born in a poor family and loved reading, gradually developed his optimistic, active, strong and inflexible personality in the hard situation. At the same time, he developed the sympathy to the lower working people, awareness of equality and thought of science. In the level of consciousness, he was affected by Confucianism and Mohism, which made him have a sense of responsibility and mission; on the other hand, he was affected by western culture, which make his detective novels rich in thought of science, democracy and the rule of law. And the system of payment for an article, which works as an extrinsic factor, together with the above factors, promoted Cheng Xiaoqing to create his detective novels.Cheng Xiaoqing worked as a teacher, editor, theorist calligrapher and painter, translation and the movie reviewer. So his multiple dignities and roles beat out a distinctive path for his detective novels. His novels had the clue of patriotic thought all the time, tried to disclose Social morbidity and manifested the mind of t he rule of law. The characters in his novels included both the weak who resisted the society because of autocide and the accessories who coveted self desire. He worried about our country and people, worried about prospect of the young, sympathized and pitied the lower labors and worried about our country's fate and development. By doing so, we can see his awareness of deep misery.Huo Sang from his novel, was both the character of his novel and the incarnation of the author's ideal and reflection of his self-realization. Combination between Huo Sang and Jiang Nanyan can shows us Cheng Xiaoqing had similarities in birthplace and personal experience while Jiang Nanyan had essentials of basic training on handwriting. Huo Sang was the character in the author's ideal world but Jiang Nanyan was a traditional prince of thieves who stood for another tendency of the author's taste and had a subconscious meaning. Between self and super-ego, reality and ideal. So we had difficulties tell whether Huo Sang was Cheng Xiaoqing or Cheng Xiaoqing was Huo Sang, thus his novels had artistic tension. In addition, Cheng Xiaoqing's detective novels could both grasp the whole and capture details which benefited from his elaborate observation ability and his insight. Those reflected the author's abundant sense. His words were both appropriate and logicality, oral and rich in suggestibility of psychology.
