People wouldn't be wondered when they were referred to the words "Chinese Style". But if they were referred the words "Chinese Style Pop Music", they may begin to wonder. When the "Chinese Style" pop music were popularized by the pop idols Jay chou, Leehom Wang, David Zee Tao etc, it upgraded from a music style to a fashion in the society, and the cultural meaning of the "Chinese Style" pop music became a question remained to be answered.The Reception Research says that the meaning is not produced by the disseminator but by the receptionists. It focuses on the positive and initiative status of the audience during the producing of the meaning of the text. The article objected on the "Chinese Style" pop music and investigated that how the youth as the main consumers of the pop music perceived, used and hold an attitude to the "Chinese Style" pop music by the theories related to the reception research. The article also analysed that how the meaning of the "Chinese Style" pop music was constructed by the audience, and tried to further explore the origin of it and possible path of it in the future.
