Elegance dance usually comes with graceful music. No matter it is classical or ballet, boy teams or girl teams, no matter it is dance movement or the internal emotion representation, all of them have to be associated with proper music."Music is the soul of dance"—Ballet Queen Galina Ulanova said. Although classical dancing and ballet both require excellent music, the music they need is quite different for the reason that they have various cultural and historical background. Due to this, the select, process, and strum of piano accompaniment for the classical dancing are extraordinary unique to those of ballet.This essay is the summary of ten years experience working in the forefront by the author. The most important part of classical dancing music is dealing with the breath. Breath here refers to the flow of internal emotion, the assignment of rhythm, and the breath during every tiny movement in the classical dancing which expresses both the internal and external emotion. The treatment can be properly described by unity, harmony, transition and correspondence. This treatment has to be based on the understanding of classical dancing movements, Chinese culture, and excellent piano technique. Otherwise it would have no convincing.In China, currently, it is vacant on this kind of research. This essay might contribute some valuable research outcomes to the development of classical dancing education in China.
