Wang Weizhen (1507-1555),also known as yunning and huaiye, was born in Huazhou of Shaanxi Province. He had been working in the Hanlin Academy for twenty years from 29 years old until died at 49 by the earthquake and was one of the authors who made prominent achievements at Shaanxi province in the year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty. His works named Cunsigao that was edited and published by his relatives and friends was read by generations. Though the earthquake destroyed many of his works, the scattered ones collected are not considerable. Wang Weizhen's literary achievements can not be compared with the first-class writers, but he also contributed a lot for the cultural development.This paper mainly focuses on his lifetime, friends, the year created of articles, the versions and spreading of the work. It consists of two chapters. Chapter one concentrates on Wang's family, lifetime and friends through detailded exploration based on a simple chronology by his later generation. What's more, this paper also arranges his works to an annual order for better explaining of his social activities. The friends listed all had a good relationship with Wang Weizhen and witnessed quite a long time life of Wang Weizhen, which is an important part of his lifetime.Followed is the research on various versions of Cunsigao. This part aims at combining and investigating the collecting, edition, publication and speading situation of Cunsigao, which also involves some research about reletant people and events that can be cross-checked with the previous paper.
