Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, was constantly built on the foundation of DaXing City in the Sui Dynasty and extremely reflected the prosperous panorama of the Tang Dynasty. Chang'an had not only the streets and communitieswith a rational layout, the meticulously-designed palaces, temples and villas, but also naturally-formed famous mountains and great rivers, especially the ZhongNan Mountain which is situated to the south of Chang'an city. Thanks to its special location and the vitality of continuous development influenced by the flourishing culture of the Tang Dynasty, the ZhongNan Mountain was in the refined scholars'favor at that time. Therefore, it is worthy to do some research in the contents correlated with the feelings on the metropolis, mountains and rivers, social cultures and so on, which are reflected in the poetries about the ZhongNan Mountain in The Collections Of The Poetries During The Tang Dynasty.This paper emphatically analyses the feelings on the mountains and rivers, reclusion, religion, mentality, and the phenomenon of the social change, the imperial examination and so on reflected in the poetries mainly through selecting and collating those poetries about the ZhongNan Mountain in The Collections Of The Poetries During The Tang Dynasty. Furthermore, through analysis, it also delves further into the relation between the cultures of Chang'an city in the Tang Dynasty and the QinLing mountains and rivers, and expounds the modern significance of the development of the ZhongNan Mountain tourist and cultural resources at present.
