Nation's Characterization Of Zhuangzi Image Of The Photography In 1930s Western Nation

Since the coming of an era of pictures, people take more unsatisfied with only catching the surface meaning of the images, and began eager to get a deeper interpretation combining the historical background of the image. Thus, old pictures especially the ethnographic photos taken in the 20th century 30-40 ages have been re-made onto fashionable stage in recent years. Zhuang Xueben's work is one of these. However, interpretation of Zhuang Xueben's ethnographic photography was still limited, there is a big blank space in this research field.The paper suppose that on the condition of the development of western region in the 20th century 30-40 ages, Zhuang Xueben's photographs provide a representation of national image. According to some first-hand materials, the paper will give an analysis about these photographs. Further, the paper will discuss that when the photos are published in a pictorial magazine in modern city and became visual consumer goods, how they would constitute this national image.
