Along with vigorous development of the Chinese economy and the rapid advancement of the mobile communication technology, more and more citizens become users of mobile phones. As the technical and social development, the mobile phone, with its special function of transmission, has become a key tool in people's daily life for getting information, study and exchanging thoughts; and has been an important platform for cultural transmission. By the end of 2009, the number for users of mobile phones in China has been over 750 million. Some new cultural transmission methods, such as Internet, newspapers, and publications which take mobile phones as the medium, have become more and more popular. People now have a better understanding that mobile phones are not only a communication tool with the feature of being fast and convenient, but also evolving to an important platform for culture, entertainment and media; people also come to know that one of the most popular communication methods that has the most powerful transmission, influences the largest scale, and can be used the most conveniently. Mobile phones are even seen as the "Fifth Media" right after the paper media, like newspapers and magazines, etc, broadcasting, television and the Internet.Texting message as one of the function of the cell phone, along with its advantages of convenience, fastness, privacy and moderately-priced has obtained the mobile phone user's favor. In 2009, the cell phone text messages have achieved 771,300,000,000. The populations of the SMS-user are huge, nearly covering each social class's public figure. The cell phone text messages have became a medium for the people to exchange the information and warm mind. Is opposite in the cell phone text messages technology development very fast. For mobile phone short message, the new cultural form culture--the study appears in-depth. This is precisely the original intention which the author selects a topic.In this paper, the analysis of mobile phone short messages are based on the previous research in sociological theory, combining with the characteristics of mobile communication network technology culture to explain SMS culture. Put the development of SMS messages and Chinese culture together and to analytic this new cultural phenomenon. This research on mobile phone short message technical development, concept definition, classification and characteristics of the culture, the thesis analyzes in detail. In a society culture exerts a subtle influence on mobile phone short message and the influence of social customs and the ways of communication knowing fact change under the background of mobile phone short message, according to the negative effects of government management, people put forward some thoughts.Article uses interviews, observation and questionnaire to gain the first-hand information about SMS. Government office workers, enterprises personnel, the students, workers and other personnel of different groups with the using of SMS features are known by us, And as well as SMS on their lives, working and learning and so on. Using the documents to obtained the second-hand information and result of the mobile phone text messages and mobile communication network culture. On the basis of the Comprehensive collection of further information, combining of the characteristics of traditional Chinese culture to analysis of the culture of the cell phone text messages, and proposed mode of SMS culture in China.SMS culture belongs to a subculture, its formation and influence don't apart from the precondition of culture. Mobile phone users are not only creator of culture but also builders, and will be affected by this new cultural. Due to the mobile media is a continuous development, changing media, along with the increasing mobile phone functions, which produces all kinds of social problems will emerge in endlessly, experts and scholars from different Angle to study. As a master thesis, this thesis studies on mobile phone short message is only a gradual achievement. For this opportunity, the author will track the message and the culture which related to the new social phenomenon and the latest research results, and constantly improve the SMS culture.
