The literati paintings, as Chinese elite culture appears in Chinese history, standing for the final say of the elite.As a distinctive Chinese cultural form, here are profound internal reasons for its origin and development. Hengke Chen once gave literati painting such a definition "what is meant by the literati painting is that picture with the nature of literati, show the temper of literati, the real meaning is not on the art of painting but on the feeling of the painter outside their painting," "four elements of the literati paintings:the first one is personality, the second knowledge, the third talent, the fourth ideas. All these four contained is perfect." So we can see that there is close relationship between this particular Chinese intellectual class and the emergence of the literati paintings. The final say of the literati painting related tightly with the social status of this class in the history. The literati step into painting field through the operation of cultural capital and continue to rebuild his aesthetic ideals of Chinese painting, making it become the ideal way to exert their final say.The intellectual literati does not have the final say in the field of painting at the beginning. It is a combination of history for literati stepping into the painting field. The change of identity of the literati and their habits make it possible for them to enter into the painting world and traditionally Chinese photographic mentality and social transformation during the Wei and Jin dynasties also contributed the intellectual to transfer their own feelings to the natural thing. In the shade of Confucian ideals the literati intends to should all the responsibilities for the world around them and have strong desire to show every concern like officialdom no matter they are in or out from the very beginning. So when they are in they planed idealistically to neglect their own interests to fulfill their ambitions for "make the world in peace". And when they are out they are just to be a hermit or transfer their feelings to the natural thing to achieve their self-improvement. That is like such saying:" when you are rich you are be generous, and when you are poor be self-sufficient", which is the literati habit of "saint inside and king outside". Under the influence of both such habit guide and personality awakening in Wei and Jin the literati begin to turn their insight to the painting world.At this moment painting slightly reflect some literary ideas but the literati's practice in painting only improved and developed in the later period until they stand in the historical stage as an independent final say. This article mainly applied semiotics and Bourdieu's cultural capital theory to analyze the formation and differentiation of photographic symbols;differences and relations between word symbols and photographic symbols and examine how the literati make the rules to get into the painting world and construct literati painting final say in the use of capitalism operation. The literati final say of painting image is obtained through the disposition of language.Meanwhile their paintings are penetrated literati's habits gradually by circumventing cultural capitals and use word symbols to adapt photographic symbols and unite them to displace photographic symbols in painting field. Through such process they get photographic final say. This paper studied the championing process of these two sorts of final say and then to unveil how the literati use and transform the word symbols to interpret and dominate the photographic symbols.The first chapter contains the formation and differentiation of photographic symbols and explores the origin of photographic language, Chapter II describes the conditions for literati painting's being and the possibility for the combination between word symbols and photographic symbols, which is the second importance in this paper, the reason for literati painting's appearance in the history is the united result of both the literati own habit and social influence form their own perspective. From the semiotics'perspective the Chinese thinking way and the characteristics of word symbols is the internal reason. Chapter III describes the literati paintings' capital operation in the art field, which is the key part of this article.Analyzed how the literati make use of cultural capitalism to construct arts in the painting field. The key point here is that how the literati painting get independent in the arts field and constructing of photographic final say through making the rules and construction independent language system. Chapter 4 is a conclusion, mainly analyzed the symbolic meaning of photographic symbols in the literati painting.
