Liuzi Drama is one of the local operas in Shandong , formed in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, which has a long history for 400 or 500 years. It has extensive drawing materials, plentyful repertoire asa well as the rough uninhibited stage performances, pungent bold, simple natural melody, which was much loved in the Qing Dynasty with the reputation of the "East Liu" in the world. In May 2006, Liuzi Drama was approved by the State Council the inclusion of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage site.Originated in Shandong, Liuzi Drama has got an uneven history for hundreds of years. It had ever performed for the capital when it was in prosperous, however, it was once almost died. But no matter in which era, Liuzi Drama has always been popular in Southwest region of Shandong and welcomed by the local people. Southwest Region of Shandong is a very fundamental place with far-reaching impact and huge significance for the development of Liuzi Drama.This paper attempts to analyze the cultrual relationship between Liuzi Drama and Southwest Region, basing on the summing-up of the original Liuzi Drama and its ups and downs, focusing on mining the value and aesthetic implication of Liuzi Drama.Liuzi Drama is rooted in the Shandong Southwest of local customs and culture. As using the local dialect with the appetite of the local people's aesthetic taste, it has developed into an unique artistic style. Basing on the analysis and research of the Liuzi Drama repertoire and some other exellent traditional repertoire as well as focusing on Southwest geographical factors influence their artistic characteristics, this paper will introduce and search the Liuzi Drama artistic characteristics mainly from the performance style, language, song lyrics and repertoire selection.Liuzi Drama is famous for its uninhibited stage performance style and is well-known for the simple, plain, vivid and lively song lyrics, closing to Southwest dialects. Liuzi Drama audience loved the variety of subjects into the script and going, forming a rich and varied repertoire with a treasure trove of local characteristics. Liuzi Drama handed down in the traditional opera repertoire (This article is mainly based on "traditional operas compilation of local opera in Shandong ? Liuzi Drama " in the repertoire included) can be divided into sifu drama, history legend drama, folk life ans so on. Liuzi Drama shape a lot of interesting characters with performances in a unique style of three-dimensional to meet the aesthetic image of the audience, this article will take "SUN AN DONG BEN" "BAO ZHUANG HE" and other operas as examples, on making the image of the honest and upright official, bold and heroic image and the image of women with various characters.This paper also attempts to further explore its aesthetic ideal from an aesthetic perspective based on the artistic characteristics with the purpose of the aesthetic trend analysis of the audience. Liuzi Drama pursues the perfect combinatin of truth, goodness and beauty. This paper shall try to follow the "truth" of the aesthetic spirit, to pursue the aesthetic ideal of "goodness reunification" and consider aesthetic psychology of the audience to explore the aesthetic implication of Liuzi Drama from the scope of the tragedy.This paper analyzes the problems faced by the current and make suggestions for the Liuzi Drama, such as that Liuzi Drama should seize the Southwest regional characteristics, drawing on the successful experience of other forms of opera. Meanwhile, it can reform and innovate bravely together with protecting the good tradition of excellent repertoire, eliminating the traditional static performance model to a modern audience easily accepted performance model. This will be more conducive for Liuzi Drama 's development.
