Rembrandt's Painting Language, Drawing Ideas And Inspiration

Rembrandt is recognized as the greatest 17th-century Dutch Realistic Painting painter by the western oil painting history or even the whole human painting history. His unique style of painting novel, majestic; his painting technique is not stick to one form; his painting skill is experienced and his works are not only unique but prevalent. He has his own view about the purpose significance and method of oil painting which has far-reaching impact on future generations and is very worthy of study. His painting idea with profound content and individual character, while inheriting the predecessors, has its own unique creation and development. Inheritance is the precondition for innovation, no inheritance no innovation. The best way for inheriting is to study elder generation masters. Rembrandt as the 17th century artists is worthy of our serious study, especially his deep understanding of the oil painting technique and the flexible using of it, that we deserve our endless study and re-excavation. In particular, it is timely and has practical significance that we learn Rembrandt's painting language system and ideas under the rapid developing advanced social conditions today.This paper starts from the painting language of Rembrandt who is the great Dutch painter. It analyses the painting language's different appearance and the common characteristics in different periods, then try to analyze the profound meaning of his paintings ideas and his understanding of nature, life, and human nature. From his early works, we can see his expression of painting is still in his immature stage. Although he had tried to do some researching on the painting technique, his skill was not enough refining and his profound ideas of painting were not contained in the works. His painting ideas have finally been shown obviously in the works after his 40-year-old. This paper begins by describing the features of his paintings,also describe the way how the features shows the ideas in the artist's paintings; while analyses how the space, color and lighting reflect the artist's painting features and the ideological content of painting. Then it poses the issue that Rembrandt's painting ideas is the pursuit of human nature and life by analyzing the reasons for the formation of his painting ideas. Finally, elaborated language and painting of Rembrandt's painting ideas inspiration to me. No matter what period the history's footsteps crosses into, oil painting language and the skills are always the fundamental of artistic creation, while the soul of the oil painting's creation is the expression of the artist's painting ideas. Although since the ancient times the study of Rembrandt has never suspend—there are already a large number of great results—on the basis of the study of these results and the practice, this paper try to elaborate Rembrandt's painting language and ideas through theory to theory, and theory to practice the two levels, analyses the characteristics of painting language by reading a large number of reliable materials, and applies art theoretical to analyze which degree his achievement had reached, so that fingers out his art knowledge refined from his painting language and ideas which had been shown on his works, further analyses the process of creating his works, in order to achieve the unity of theory and practice. Through each of the analysis and synthesis, we gain the scientific conclusions, while focusing on works'creating and art theory to avoid the empty theoretical explanation. By discussing the hidden deep thought of paintings while contacting in some phenomenon of the Chinese contemporary realism oil paintings, we have the summary. Finally I talk about a little inspiration to me.
