Borrowed Mountains Spiritual Highlight The Character Charm

As an important part of Chinese landscape painting, Cunfa is an essential manifestation of Chinese literati traditional aesthetic. With the development of Chinese painting, Cunfa is more and more used in freehand figure painting. Either from its role of pen and ink functionality of language, or from a wide range of aesthetic connotations, we can see its significant position in the development of freehand portrait. Through the theoretical research of Chinese ancient landscape painting and getting nutrients from it, this article tries to find out its application laws in impressionistic portrait, and uses it to do technical theoretical research on the application of Cunfa in Chinese impressionistic portrait. Practice has proved that research and exploration of Cunfa's application in figure painting not only helps us to understand further about Cunfa, but also, to some extent, has practical guiding significance to the development of contemporary Chinese painting.
