The Development Trend Of Contemporary Freehand Figure Painting

Freehand figure paintings display different features in different historical stages,containing both the self-integration and transformation of Chinese painting system,and mutual influence with other types of paintings.The thesis focuses on the freehand figure paintings in the 13 th National Exhibition of Fine Arts,and studies relevant factors influencing its development and the level of its combination with other painting languages,thereby gaining a glimpse into the development trend on contemporary freehand figure paintings.The contemporary transformation of freehand figure paintings is mainly shown in complicated themes,diversification of painting styles and quotation of form composition.The analysis on themes will be mentioned in case study,so it is not necessary to elaborate on this with an independent chapter.This thesis mainly focuses on the last two points and targets the changes in painting language.The diversification of painting styles is mainly shown in expansion and synthesis.The thesis conducts classification based on other forms of painting languages contained in the freehand figure paintings in this exhibition,respectively freehand figure paintings and realistic paintings,freehand figure paintings and abstract painting,and freehand figure paintings and elaborate-style painting.Form composition techniques have also been increasingly widely adopted in the creation of figure paintings.This thesis offers discussion from the two perspectives of plain composition and color composition.In recent years,most people are committed to the research on traditional paintings and have formed a set of relatively complete theoretical system.In contrast,the research on contemporary freehand figure paintings still has some defects.In relevant fields,there are inadequate rational analysis,integration,and summary on the current status.Based on integrating the research findings of other scholars,this thesis wishes to sort out the specific development directions for the painting languages of contemporary freehand figure painting,gradually improve the research on classification,fill the gap of the research on the current status in the past five years represented by the 13 th National Exhibition of Fine Arts,and explore the direction for the progress of art.
