Singing Emotional Explore

Emotion is the starting point of singing, also the ultimate destination of vocal performing art. The expressing of emotion which runs through singing and its laws are drawing the attentions from all singers. But the laws usually exist in the minds and oral teachings of masters and students, being less concluded and organized from the view of theory. With two songs which I have sung highly praised by the public, Father and I will be far from my home as the examples, the thesis will analysize and study the origin, figuring and expressing of the emotion in my singing. I would like to describe the emotion in singing as a tree with vibrant branches and leaves, and my conclusion is as the following: the expression in a composition is the root of emotion in singing; the private life experience, the mind and the collection of techniques are the body of emotion; while the art creation in vocal performing is the crown of the tree.
