Bellini is one of the most influential representative opera composer in the first half of 19th century, who, along with Rossini,Donizetti, is regarded as the three opera magnates of Italy. Bellini's creative works include opera, symphony, oboe concerto, mass music and a lot of classical vocal music. He was famous for his opera.From macroscopic point of view, this thesis puts heroine Norma into the whole opera, reviews Norma's love experience and analyses the complexity of Norma's change of feeling to grasp her drama image. The analysis of the heroine's character and music helps understand the differences of the composer's social aesthetic consciousness of the romantic period. From microscopic point of view, opera《Norma》mainly employs the singing form of chorus, solo, and ensemble, the understanding of which will help us better explore the quintessence of Bellini's opera.
