Diatonic Tune, Pan-tonal, Atonal Music

Diatonic scale is a six-tone scale used frequently in the 20th century and a special scale. As the equidistant structure of degree in adjacent notes of diatonic scale, made it loses the 4th or 5th interval and minor second of traditional mode, so that there is not enough important features of tonality system. Because of the relationship of degree is equal, and diatonic scale is more analogous to Schoenberg's serial music, but not exclude tonality in it, and sometimes by means of other techniques or means are often given to their local and particular significant tonality.Why the diatonic scale itself and its material involve notes of the scale as a scale form can be much concern about the use of the composer? How to use of it? This paper put the diatonic scale in the long history of 100 years, made a systematic textual research on its production, organized their materials in detail and summarized; and explored the application of use in the area of diatonic scale, with out of the use of part of the diatonic scale in music works which has tonality, pantonality and atonal style, and hope that through this study provide the use of certain reference and experience to the aspact of combination or blending and application to different material in music.
