Von Line Prose Study

Feng Shixing, a philosopher, official in the Song dynasty, Bashu areas, was known of poems and prose. For a long time, there were some researches about him and his works, even discussion on some aspects of him was very in-depth. And yet, Attention to his prose is too low. So, the main contents of this article is some researches on his prose. This thesis intends to find out ideology and artistry of his articles.Ideology in Feng Shixing's prose, including of philosophy, education and political ideology, was closely related with the Social reality of Song dynasty and was to be useful of political society. The ideal, which Feng Shixing tried to achieve, was great and admirable. Firstly, he hoped that the rulers can learn ancestors'experience, rule the country with courtesy and music, know the benefits of mercifulness, and understand the citizens'importance. Secondly, he longed that the rulers can establish the ambition to national prosperity, reform the poor policy, and consider risk factors in safety. So, the citizens would follow officials'good deeds to against aggression. Thirdly, he can think of the safety of the whole country as an official. Relatively, he can live in countryside easely and be fascinated with Buddhism and Taoism without grumble. His mind was praised, and his ambition was to be appreciated.His articles also reflected the rich artistry, such as true and moving feelings, elegant taste, plain and vivid words. Reading repeatedly, it seems that a noble gentleman appears, and then ,the feeling of calm and serenity to be found. Morover, this article will analyse the impact of Feng Shixing's prose, and conclude his style which inherited the tradition of the"Renaissance"in the Song dynasty and was famous of his ideology.Above-mentioned studies, the author hopes to restore a more fully-formed image of a scholar to cause more concern. As the same time, the author hopes more attention will be paied on this precious cultural heritage.
