In the 1980s, the Chinese-made cartoons have been world-famous for their distinctive national features and the typical beauty of the Chinese art. There are many classical works, such as Where is mother, Ginseng doll, Uproar in heaven, Ne Zha conquers the drgon king, Secrets of the heavenly book, Landscapes, and Three Monks, etc. All those classical have left people deep impression. In the late 1980s, with the technological progress and the acceleration of cultural transmission, the development of cartoons in the world came into a full speed, while the Chinese-made cartoons with distinctive national features decayed rapidly, and met her total decay in the 1990s. The second part has discussed the features of the Transformation Period from three aspects, namely the thought subject, the production and the aesthetic style. In the third part, it has displayed the main problem in the Transformation Period---the copycatting, and tried to interpret this phenomenon comprehensively, also with the aim of finding a solution to it. As for the last part, in view of the development of the Chinese-made cartoons from 1990 to 2007, and compared with the advanced countries in the production of cartoons, some enlightenment are drew out, which would help the development of the not yet completed Chinese-made cartoons'transformation. The Chinese-made Cartoons'transformation set in the market-oriented economy and the development of the industrialization. Nowadays, affected by the successful experience of the foreign countries, our government has paid more and more attention to the Movie-TV Culture which is creating increasing value. So completely changing the Chinese-made cartoons'model of development into ways of industrialization and commercialization is in line with the development trend of world cartoons. Transformation, as one phase of the domestic cartoon history, is progressing and will be affected by many factors, and yet its success is to wait and see. But as for the transformation itself, it is a beneficial practice in the cultural industry. In this practice, it is found that the Chinese-made cartoons should spare no effort to enhance the originality and creativity, cultivate distinguished talents, and combine the national features with the universal value of people around the world. From all the above, it proves that the study of the Transformation Period is of relatively strong historical and practical significance.
