Avant-garde writers which were actived in eighty’s literary world were characterized by the test’s formalism exploration. But they constitute their own limitations. After entering ninety age, the avant-garde writers began to change. Novels wrote in ninety age appeared to vary with the change of three directions: holding their ground and sneaking around, stagnation and degeneration, transition and transcending. The reasons for ravant-garde writers’ transformation are complicated and diversified, including the deficiency of the ability that transcending themselves, influence of the appeal for the humanistic spirit in ninety age, the utter rout of the pure literary journal and the abandon of readers. When Avant-garde writers’ writing has become authoritative classic, the historical avant-garde writers’ transition of the writing was the inevitable result and the wise choice. The transition also gives once-avant-garde writers and the younger generation of writers some enlightenment significance. This article aims to find out the ways out for exploring the new vanguard of contemporary novels. To break out of the trap-"art for art’s sake", to combine avant-garde’s independent consciousness and humanistic solicitude, to hold on the realistic writing that combines history and reality are the practical conclusion.
