This paper is to explore that the contemporary mural art continuously pursues the eco-space that adapts the new era, under the appliance and popularization of new media technology. when the "plications" of mural art are unwrapped layer by layer, great opportunities of public art development and artistic creation it bears come out.This paper includes five parts.Introduction briefly introduces the impacts that the maturation and development of new media technology bring to current mural art. Current mural art is closely integrated with technology under the development of the new media technology to seek its own new eco-space.The first part explains the concept of mural art, from narrow and broad sense. This paper studies the eco-space of current mural art from the latter.The second part introduces the eco-space of current mural art, which exists in a eco-space that is full of "plications". The time and social changes will stimulate the development of the eco-space of mural art and generate new areas of development. From the time background point of view, current mural art lies in a digital information age; from the choice of aesthetic psychological point of view, current mural art needs more content participation and form diversity.The third part introduces current mural art with the participation of new media technology and the connotations, developing stages and interactive aesthetic features of new media art. With the participation of new media technology, current mural art has four characteristics, that is, scientific nature, breakthrough nature, non-space-time nature, and public nature. The positive aspect will be described from three aspects, display content, display ways, and public meaning.
