On The Aesthetic Artistic Conception Of Huizhou Ancient Residence

Huizhou located between Huangshan and Qiyunshan in the southern Anhui,which Xin'anjiang transit to the southeast.With a long history,Huizhou was established prefectures and counties in the Qin Dynasty.The Prefecture of Huizhou was established in the third year of Xuanhe,Northern Song Dynasty(A.D.1121),which region covers six counties including Qimen,Yixian,Maoyuan,Xiuning, Shexian and Jixi. Yixian lies in the south of Anhui province.The place has wonderful scenery, surrounded by mountains.In ancient years, people called Yixian——"the house in Tao Hua Yuan".There are several hundreds of ancient villages in Yixian.Until now, there are 3,700 ancient well- protected houses of Ming and Qing Dynasty,ranking the first in ancient Huizhou. The structure of ancient houses in Yixian is perfect,beautiful and substantial.They reflect typical style of Huizhou architectures.And it's a wonderful effect,combining the regional terrains,landforms and feng shui.Well-arranged,it is the perfect union of architecture and nature.Finally,it became astonishing natural and cultural landscape.These factors provide us the good situations on houses research.Research on the architecture in Huizhou now concentrates in research institutions and universities which are studying Chinese antient architecture history,and secondly in the departments of cultural relics preservation and tourism.Most of the research is matter-of-fact,and it congcentrates in the case and the elements of architecture.The impact on the architecture for history,culture,fengshui,living pattern and aesthetic perception is rarely involved.In the aspect of object choosing, I choose the decoration of ancient houses in Yixian for my research object. Because the decoration of houses reflects the living style and aesthetic views about regional people. The artists also put the practices and styles into the making process. In the same time, although the researches pay less attention to the decoration of houses,they emphasize the subject matter and content of the architecture and decoration.There is very little systematic aesthetic research for the architectural style and feature.So I try to analyze the historic and cultural reasons of the decoration of houses from aesthetic view.The dissertation combines the history records and field investigation.In practice,I adopt the research method from point to surface.The main research objects are the houses in Ming and Qing Dynasty in Huizhou;and the most important research aspect is the representative ancient dometic houses in Yixian,Huizhou.The main fruit of this dissertation is the systematic research on the decoration of houses in Yixian.Based on Huizhou local chronicles and associated documents,the dissertation uses the methods of typical research,fine-art theory and history theory,and analyzes the decoration style and aesthetic conception of houses in Yixian. The fruit may provide research reference and enlightment for the research on architectural aesthetics in Huizhou.
