| Author of the article, from the perspective of a creator, talks about the current prevailing problem of inadequate attention landscape artists have paid to landscape sketches, and, based on his many years of experience in landscape painting, expounds on the process of sublimation and transcendence of landscape paintings from drafts to landscape works.This article cites'Get inspired from viewing'and'Get images from hinting'from the ancients as the theme, puts forward conceptual and theoretical propositions, through examples, gives an in-depth analysis of issues as to'how to get inspirations from viewing objects'and'how to work out the composition of a painting upon taking a hint', and, having enhanced his studies from conceptually to theoretically, presents his own landscape sketching & creation concepts of'take hints from viewing'and'create upon inspiration'. The author not only creatively puts forward two new concepts of sketch --- the'objective landscape'and'subjective image', but probingly advances the'three creation theory'of landscape painting as well. In conclusion, the author, ingeniously combining this theory with the landscape language, traditional Chinese culture as well as Confucianism and Taoism, clarifies that the cultivation of landscape painters'accomplishment, like the creation of a traditional landscape painting, is an introspective process of step-by-step sublimation and transcendence. |
