National Cultural Heritage Protection And Development Research

Ethnic cultural heritages are a vital component of our ethnic culture and an essential symbol that distinguishes us from other nations in the world. Therefore, an in-depth and specific research on the protection arid development of ethnic cultural heritages is of great practical and theoretical significance. Currently, we are faced with quite a number of problems in ethnic cultural heritages protection, such as heavy losses of intangible ethnic cultural heritages and deficiencies in relevant institutions and mechanisms, in light of which we must attach great importance to various approaches for ethnic cultural heritages protection and step up our efforts on researches in this area.Starting from the political significance of ethnic cultural heritages protection, this thesis introduces relevant concepts, reviews the protection and development of ethnic cultural heritages from the May 4th Movement up to the present day, and elaborates problems facing the protection and development of ethnic cultural heritages in China. Based on the example of ethnic cultural heritage protection in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, it future expounds the status quo of ethnic cultural heritage protection in China, and points out that achievements made in this regards are mainly due to awareness of problems while the existence of problems are due to the lack of profound insights into the underlying reasons.On that basis, this paper put forwards measures to protect ethnic cultural. heritages from four major aspects, including strengthening cultural rights of ethnic minorities, constantly exploring the political values of ethnic cultural heritage, properly handling ethnic affairs and improving organizations and organizations and mechanisms.
