Nanling Mountains span between Lingnan and Yangtze River regions, hills in Nanling dotted with mountain corridor or basin, these relatively independent cultural geographic area become a natural channels for north-south exchanges. From, the point of channel of cultural exchange, this paper analyse the general situation survey,character,style of the cultural exchange between Yangtze River and Lingnan during the pre-Qin Dynasty. This paper can be partioned to four parts.The main contents are as follows:Chapter 1:Introduction. Starting from the natural and geographical situation of these place,leads to the channels of cultural exchanges.The channels include Yuecheng Ridge Road,Mengzhu Ridge Road,Qitian Ridge Road, Dayu Ridge Road.This chapter summarized the state of Bronze Age's research in this area,the tendency of this kind of research, the scope of this paper,the research methods of this paper, and the problem of this paper.Chapter 2:The era and type of archaeological culture between Lingnan and the middle reach of Yangtze River in Pre-Qin Dynasty.This chapter summarized types of archaeological culture between Lingnan and the middle of Yangtze River in Pre-Qin dynasty.ln Lingnan,Fubing and Shixiazhongceng types of culture were main culture in the early stage of Shang and Zhou period;Kuiwen pottery types of culture was the main culture in the Spring and Autumn period and Warring states period;Miziwentao culture was the main culture in the middle and late Warring states.In the middle reach of Yangtze River,Feijia River culture was the main cultures between Shang and Zhou period.Chu culture and Yue culture were the main cultures between Spring and Autumn period,besides,Wu and Xu culture were existed;in the middle and late of Warring states,Chu culture took up the Yangtze River,therefore,archeology-cal culture relied mainly on Chu culture.Chapter 3:The research of cultural relations between Lingnan and the middle reach of Yangtze River.In neolithic,Lingnan and the middle reach of Yangtze River had some cultural communication.Xiantouling culture and Daxi culture in Dongting lake had many similarities.This chapter gave a research to Lingnan and the Yangtze River to introduce the cultural relation between these two places through the shape of the vessels,characteristics,the distribution of these vessels,the proportion in their respective area,burial system,funeral customs,and the fetures of vessels' combination.As to research vessels,this paper mainly analysed Shige,Yazhang,Geometric pottery in Shang and Zhou period,Yueshiding,Yongzhong,Scraper,boot-shaped Yue,geometric pottery in the early stage of Spring and Autumn period.In the late of Warring states,this paper analysed the cultural communication from the point of bronze pot.Chapter 4:Talking about the cultural communication between Lingnan in Pre-Qin period.This chapter introduced the cultural communication in these two area from the points of causes,characteristics,styles,methods,and imapct.At the same time, this chapter analysed cultural relation of these two area from the formation of central place of Nanling,central plains culture spreading to south,Chu culture imapacting on Yue culture,Yue culture impacting on Chu culture in return.Chapter 5:this chapter summarized the main content of this article and the main points.From a macroscopic angle,this chapter introduced the channels,features,styles,causes of cultural exchange between Lingnan and the middle reach of Yangtze River in Pre-Qin Dynasty.
