The Xing Yongchuan Mr. Sculpture Art Institute

This thesis sorts out and analyzes the personal narrative, the educational backgrounds, the work experience, the designing course and the art works of Mr. Xing Yongchuan, who is a contemporary sculptor and has an influence on the history of chinese sculpture, so that the case study research has been accomplished.Early in the 1980s, Mr. Xing Yongchuan was famed in domestic for his Sculpture "General Yang Hucheng". He is one of the representatives of the Sculpture Field. Based on the native art, he gathers the virtue of Western Art. Mr. Xing lives in Central Plains most of the time, so his work and theory emphasized the effects of Qin Jin Culture. Located in solid cultural foundation and strong model ability in western sculpture, his outputs have bright time feature and distinct personality.Benefiting from thinking deeply, from being modest and prudent, and from being down-to-earth, Mr. Xing Yongchuan not only has made great contributions to the sculpture but also has made remarkable success in traditional painting, in Chinese Opera, especially in production of calligraphy. This paper mainly analyzes Mr. Xing's achievements in the above respects, meanwhile, explains and researches his arts with the utmost possible effort in order to complete the case study of this contemporary and typical artist.
