Justice carries the mission of establishing the legal authority and safeguarding social justice in modern society. Public Trust of Judicature is important to realize judicial value and perform judicial functions. Enhancing the Public Trust of Judicature, relates to legal authority, relates to social credit and relates to construction of law ruling society. But the current situation of public Trust of Judicature in our country is not satisfactory. The judicial corruption, the judicature unfair has directly affected the public trust of Judicature. So how to promote the public trust of judicature has become a concrete and practical issue in the process of judicial reform. This paper research the issue on Public Trust of Judicature through empirical analysis and comparison analysis method, hoping to benefit the judicial practice in China.The paper has divided three chapters. Each chapter of primary coverage outline is as follows:First chapter mainly discusses the concept of judicature, credibility and public trust of Judicature. It also states the origin of public trust of Judicature and its characteristics.Second chapter mainly studies the historical performance of public trust of Judicature. It compares the public trust of Judicature in Ancient China with which in western countries. It describes the social conditions of judicial credibility and legal conditions and reaches a conclusion. Legal Culture and market economy is its social basis. Judicial independence is its system foundation. Justice is its value basis. Professional judges are its subject foundation. The cultivation of the public faith in justice is its social basis.Third chapter mainly discusses the shortage of the public trust of judicature and its reason in the contemporary China. Promotion of public trust of judicature should begin with consummating the judicial system, meanwhile improving the judicial external environment is also important.
