Current Entertainment And Cultural Influence On Young People Study

Joseph Nye, the American professor in Harvard University, is the first person to put forward the term"soft power"in his book Soft Power—The Means to Success in World Politics, in which he points out that"cultural soft power refers to a national decision and action competence to safeguard and realize its national interests, its power source is based on affinity, attraction, influence and cohesion resulted from the country's cultural identity in the international community". It is pointed out the idea of "stimulating culturally innovative energies of the whole nation and improving the national cultural soft power"in the report of the Party's Seventeenth Congress. It is thus clear that cultural construction has played an important role in national development and social progress. Entertainment culture is an important component of cultural system, which is comprehensively penetrating to people's daily life with its incomparable advantage of affinity and strength and especially has deep effect on young people who have active thoughts and strong ability to accept new things. Recently, many scholars in academia have concentrated on the influence of entertainment culture on the people, this thesis aims to analyze the influence of entertainment culture on teenagers, which has theoretic and realistic significance.This thesis puts forward measures to guide entertainment culture and to improve the healthy growth of teenagers, discussing the connotation of entertainment culture based on the domestic and oversea scholars'researches of relationship between entertainment culture and teenagers. It emphasizes the proper grasp of entertainment culture's influence on teenagers'growth, whose difficult point is to come up with measures to deconstruct the negative impact of entertainment culture on teenagers. The innovative points of the thesis lie in two points, one is the innovative perspective, this topic has seized the two current hyperactive social factors–"entertainment culture"and"teenagers", and combined them together to discuss their relationship; the other is the innovative view, this paper transcends beyond the regular concept that most people consider entertainment culture as a derogatory term, proposes proper measures to guide entertainment culture into campus and excavates the positive factors in entertainment culture, through which the conclusion is drawn that teenagers have plasticity, as long as proper guide is given to entertainment culture, the teenagers can be encouraged to grow healthily.
